Siihen
aikaan antoi koutsi käskyn, että kaikkien atleettien oli lenkillä käytävä. Tämä
treeniviikko oli kahdeksas ja tapahtui Niinistön ollessa Suomen
käskynhaltijana. Kaikki menivät urheilemaan, kukin omalla tavallaan.
Niin myös Elina
lähti Helsingistä, Uudenmaan kaupungista ja meni tasamaan leiriä varten
Seinäjoelle, Etelä-pohjanmaalle, sillä hän kuului häjyjen sukuun. Hän lähti
sinne yhdessä suunto ambitin kanssa, joka reiksteröisi kaiken. Heidän siellä
ollessaan, tuli sprinttien aika ja hän sprinttasi 10 kertaa, meni kotiin
syömään, koska hän oli nälkäinen ja lähisikalan siat oli jo lahdattu.
Sillä
seudulla oli vanhemmat sisällä lepäilemässä. Yhtäkkiä heidän edessään seisoi Elina
ja hienhaju ympäröi heidät. Pelko valtasi vanhemmat, mutta Elina sanoi heille ”älkää
peljätkö, pyykkikoneesa on pikaohjelma.” Ja samalla hetkellä hienhaju Elinan ympärillä
voimistui ja vanhemmat huokaisivat ”onneksi on suihku ja pyykkikone”.
Kun Elina
oli mennyt suihkuun, vanhemmat huokaisivat helpotuksesta ja riisuivat kaasunaamarinsa.
Mutta Elina kätki kaiken treeninsä ambitiin ja tutkiskeli sitä. Koutsi huokaisi
helpotuksesta, koska kaikki oli juuri niin kuin hän oli käskenyt.

In those days Coach issued a decree that all athletes should do exercise.
This was the eight week of training that took place while Niinistö was the
president of Finland. And all athletes went to their own excercises.
So Elina also went up from the town of Helsinki in Uusimaa to
Etelä-Pohjanmaa to Seinäjoki because she belonged to the house and line of
